The Bride Is Taken

An End-Times Thriller · Atomos, Book One

In the very near future, Fourth of July fireworks bloom over a weary nation, and in a single flash of light, millions of people vanish. Within days, a charismatic President tells a terrified world, “We are not alone.”

Josh Gibbons, an engineer who walked away from God, knows something the world does not: the satellites now guarding the sky are ones he designed himself.

About Paul

Paul has spent his career building software, including years at Amazon, AWS and Microsoft, and he reads the Bible the way he reads a system log: carefully, line by line, following the evidence wherever it leads.

He writes about love because he has needed it to survive. His own story includes marriage separation, addiction and recovery, and years spent rebuilding what estrangement had broken, the kind of wreckage that teaches you which parts of love actually hold.

He is a bi-vocational lay evangelist who preaches in North Carolina, and he publishes his books, study guides and sermons through Doxa Theos Ministries. Raised Southern Baptist, he describes himself simply as a non-denominational, Bible-centered Christian. He believes the mark of a Christian isn’t correct doctrine alone. It’s love that survives contact with a broken life.
